One of my favorite things to do is to allow myself to get totally lost in a good book. I so love and adore reading, but it’s an effort to make the time, especially with our tech addicted world. I do, however, make a point to read an actual paper book on the plane or when I’m on vacation, and even on a rare weekend I gift myself the luxury of cuddling up with myself to turn the pages. It’s become a lost art with kindle and audible, but I am proud to be of the generation of paper book readers, and I will not let go of the beauty of smelling the pages and holding my well loved crumpled book in my hands. There is something ancient, timeless and beautiful about the experience that will never compare to any device. Still, I accept and use all modalities of book culture, and an audible book while stuck on the 405 is pretty miraculous.
Here are some of my current completed reads that have given me goosebumps and helped me stand a bit taller.
Super Attractor by Gabrielle Bernstein
You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero
Becoming by Michelle Obama
Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza
The Vortex by Abraham Hicks
