This hard working woman is a friendly and familiar face in my community. A Mother of two beautiful kids, Sydney and Brady, a devoted wife, and owner of one of my favorite stores, Siany. Siany is a community favorite and staple for fabulous jewelry, clothing, hostess gifts etc… It’s a go to, one stop shop, to pick up all a girl could ever need and desire.
Caren is a marvel of a woman on many fronts. In addition to her thriving business, she is a marathon runner, an advocate for her kids school, and an active member of the philanthropic community. She never hesitates to give back, Caren is the first to step forward to help raise money for so many important causes. Caren has a heart of gold and truly lives her life proactively, and in deep kindness. She is the definition of no lip service.
Caren is a board member for her children’s school, elected as chair person, in charge of the bond money allocated to the schools in Malibu. One of her greatest accomplishments is that she was able to get the school board to tear down the building Malibu High School because it was massively toxic. It was proven to be high in PCB levels, which are associated with an increased risk of cancer. This was obviously posing a health threat to the students and faculty. Sadly, the school board wanted to just paint over the space, but Caren did her research and was able prove that they needed to tear the building down. A new building is being built and will be finished next year. An enormous feat !
What I admire so much about Caren is that she is a true cheerleader for all in her world. She gets in and get her hands dirty. She loves to see others succeed and flourish, as Caren sees the power in the collective initiative. There is not an ounce of jealousy, or negative bone in her body, which is incredible to be around. I have seen her positivity for years, and am certainly graced by it. She is a huge support to me when I perform, always showing up to cheer me on. Caren puts my music CD’s in her store to sell, showing instant, tangible support woman to woman. She lives out her goodness in all that she does. An angel among us.
